Seeds and Meadows: Enhancing Pollinator Habitat in Oklahoma
Improving the world for pollinators is a conservation action that almost everyone can do from planting a single pot of zinnias to enhancing wildflower diversity of an overgrazed pasture. Over the past few years, Priscilla Crawford has been collecting native seeds, planting meadows, and watching pollinators thrive at several project sites across Oklahoma. As the coordinator of the Oklahoma Native Seed Library and Oklahoma Natural Areas Registry, she is a partner with the Tribal Alliance for Pollinators, helping to improve the native seed sources for pollinator habitat enhancement projects across the state. She will talk about how you can get involved in pollinator conservation too!
Dr. Priscilla Crawford is a conservation biologist with the Oklahoma Biological Survey at the University of Oklahoma. She oversees the Oklahoma Natural Areas Registry and the annual Oklahoma citizen science event, BioBlitz.
